4. Refrigeration balances

To select or calculate a refrigeration machine, it is necessary to establish a refrigeration balance.

Depending on the type of application, there are two types of balance:

  • an energy balance in kJ per day ;

  • a dynamic kW balance.

4.1 Energy balance

This balance must be established each time an enclosure of a given volume and function needs to be maintained at a constant temperature.
