2.1 Fuel and oxidizer supply

These are the systems used to desilage and convey the fuel from its storage center (silo, pit or hopper) to the heat generator. The various systems were presented in the article § 3.4, the choice between the various techniques depends above all on the nature and characteristics of the fuel.

As with all boiler rooms, a wood-fired boiler room must have sufficient air renewal to supply combustion air and to renew the air in the room to avoid obtaining stale air. The characteristics of each installation depend on the power of the generator and the dimensions of the room. Generally speaking, the boiler manufacturer is able to supply the air renewal requirements.
