4. Conclusion

There are many ways of reducing data center power consumption. A number of centers have implemented these solutions, in particular using free cooling. Others, fewer in number, use direct water cooling. Reusing waste heat is one way of going even further in reducing consumption. Few centers are currently implementing it, although the technologies exist and have demonstrated their reliability. The use of renewable energy is now being promoted by many GAFAs and energy suppliers such as ENI as a way of demonstrating their eco-responsibility.
