That's why a group from the University of Nancy, led by A. Nominé (senior lecturer, Institut Jean Lamour, Nancy) as part of the HERawS project, decided to generate an algorithm to evaluate the stress on materials and assess the material impact of each technology. It can associate a mass of raw materials with objectives set by users (the political decision-maker, a company, etc.) such as the proportion of electric vehicles or the targeted recycling rate. By using a multifactorial database on the chemical elements concerned, it will be possible to associate sustainability factors such as CO 2 footprint, supply risk, proportion or reserve, production proportion, etc. Calculating...
