5.1.1 Screens

The screens must be easy to clean, either by hand if there are few floating deposits, which is exceptional, or using a bar screen.

The bar screen consists of a rake the width of the pass if it is less than 6 m wide. On wider passes, the device must be mobile on rails. The rake is moved by arms or chains that lower it to a distance from the screens and then raise it again, scraping them. The screenings are discharged via a chute into a bin or waste basin, from...
