This section presents an example of a combined-cycle power plant.

5.1 Description of a power plant

The plant shown in figure 9 comprises :

  • two combustion turbines with a unit electrical output of around 177 MW ;

  • two vertical boilers with assisted circulation ;

  • a steam turbine with an electrical capacity of around 170 MW ;
