
4. Conclusion
In this section, we set out to provide a theoretical and conceptual basis for the notion of equipartition of entropy production, as a result of process optimization. Let's take a closer look at the status of this result and the conditions under which it is obtained.
We have called some of these results "theorems" and "corollaries". This implies a mathematically rigorous demonstration, within a framework of well-identified hypotheses. The hypotheses involved here are indeed well-defined, but necessarily restrictive in relation to the reality - industrial, for example - that these results claim to address. From the engineer's point of view, the question that then arises is that of the "degree of validity" of these results: they probably provide an approximation of the practical solution sought, but what is the degree of approximation?
