Formally, multiphase fluid flows follow the relations of fluid mechanics. As a reminder, the conservation relations for mass, momentum and energy (Navier Stokes equations) can be written for a Newtonian fluid according to the simplified relations (32) given for illustrative purposes, as they include additional assumptions.
