3. Technical specifications
3.1 Thermal power, neutron flux, operating regimes
These three parameters are closely linked: depending on the goals set for the use of experimental reactors, the flows required, and therefore the operating power ranges, are different. Depending on power levels and associated safety constraints (fuel cooling, for example), on the one hand, and the requirements of experimental needs, on the other, reactors can have very different operating regimes.
The table 3 gives the operating powers to be envisaged according to the flows chosen.
