8. Conclusion

Nuclear reactions play a fundamental role in the physics of nuclear reactor cores, as they are responsible for the power produced and the temporal evolution of the isotopic composition of nuclear fuel subjected to neutron irradiation. In the field of radiation protection, they are at the origin of source terms. Precise knowledge of the nuclear data associated with them (cross sections, neutron emission spectra, gamma spectra, etc.) is crucial to the safety of nuclear facilities, as well as to their economic viability.

The author would like to thank Mr. Tan Dat Huynh for drawing the fission yield curves and Mr. Cédric Jouanne for producing the cross-section curves.
