3. Source of leaks

This section summarizes the main modes of deterioration affecting condenser tubes, and therefore likely to be the cause of leaks encountered during operation. .

We distinguish :

• the origins of diseases specific to each tube grade (titanium, brass, stainless steel, etc.);

• origins of maintenance operations (e.g. high-pressure water jet cleaning of tubes);

• origins related to the presence of migrating bodies inside the condenser.
