4.1 Texture classification
Table 3 summarizes the various types of laminar PyC obtained at low temperatures. As the temperature rises, either during synthesis or on subsequent heat treatment, graphitable pyrocarbons evolve towards graphite, whereas smooth and dark laminar and isotropic cannot.
