5. Physical mechanisms in lyophobic nanoporous media

The physical mechanisms underlying the mechanical behavior, and in particular the dynamic behavior, of SHLs have been little studied. Most work to date has focused on the study of ordered mesoporous media such as MCM-41. The dynamic behavior of microporous media has been little explored experimentally, partly due to the difficulty of combining rapid displacement and high pressure.

Nanoporous ordered media are ideal for studying the behavior of fluids confined between hydrophobic walls. These media enable us to multiply the phenomena controlled by van der Waals interactions at interfaces . These media can also be used as instruments for measuring nanofluidic properties...
