Description
The material to be cut is held in a vice. The cutting motion is given to the blade. The cycle takes place in two stages: the "forward" movement, in which the tool is given a cutting feed; and the "return" movement, in which the tool is raised slightly to release it from the cut and prevent the teeth from rubbing.
