2. Chip removal machining

2.1 Shearing, punching

Cutting and punching plastic sheets up to approx. 3.0 mm thick is often possible at room temperature or by heating to approx. 50 ×C.

The cutting tool must be particularly sharp and undamaged. There must be a maximum clearance of less than 1 mm between the moving cutting part and the fixed part. The cutting angle must be less than 70×.
