The article provides a first approach to the process, both in terms of its industrial application and the control of its appearance and geometric problems. In particular, it shows how important it is to be able to predict the latter, notably using numerical simulation tools (see Flat Crimping for Automotive Bodywork: Numerical Simulation [BM 7 866]).
