2. CAD/CAM methods for prosthetic restorations

CAD/CAM methodologies in conjoint prosthetics enable dento-prosthetic restorations to be designed and produced. The dental tissues to be restored are modeled by scanning, and the prosthesis is modeled directly and assembled virtually on the scanned model. In prosthetic dentistry, the structuring of the digital chain is based on the software suites offered by manufacturers of dental CAD/CAM systems, and is mainly linked to the implementation approach. The use of the digital dental CAD/CAM chain leads to three types of production chain in joint prosthetics: direct, indirect and semi-direct CAD/CAM
