Examples:

  • gears made of polyamide or glass-fibre reinforced acetal can be bonded to metal axles using anaerobic or cyanoacrylate adhesives;

  • Metal cardan shafts are bonded to carbon-epoxy drive shafts using single-component, heat-curing epoxy adhesives (figure 4 );

  • Friction linings are bonded to metal with phenolic or nitrile-phenolic adhesives;...
