lamellar tearing; arrachement lamellaire
Cracking caused by shrinkage during welding, on wrought material with a high concentration of flattened, unfavorably oriented micro-inclusions.
chamfering; chamfering
Mechanical or thermal operation to geometrically prepare the edges of parts prior to welding.
section class; plasticity class
Numerical index (1 to 4) characterizing the ability of a bent beam section to tolerate the formation of a plastic hinge.
fatigue class
Allowable stress range at 2.10 6 cycles characterizing a welded detail (or not) of realization conforming to a given quality level and assigned a probability of survival equal to 97%.
