Austenitic; austenitic
Structure of a steel whose elementary crystal lattice is face-centered cubic (like γ-iron).
Grinding; rolling, forging
Production of a metal product by hot plastic forming, such as rolling, forging, stamping, drawing or extruding.
strain hardening
Hardening of an alloy matrix by plastic deformation at ambient temperature.
Ferritic; ferritique
Structure of a steel whose elementary crystal lattice is cubic-centered (like α-iron).
Martensitic; martensitic
Non-equilibrium steel structure obtained by rapid cooling of austenite, with a centered tetragonal elementary crystal lattice.
