2. Forced vibration
The main aim of this section is to determine the amplitudes of vibration of the model disks for permanent operating conditions, i.e. constant speed and established periodic loads. From the strains found for each torsion spring, it is possible to calculate an estimate of the amplitude of the shear stresses that exist in the associated rotor sections.
The model chosen for this study is deduced from the model used for the free vibration study. It is completed by the representation of the damping phenomena present in the installation. The amplitudes and phases of peridic excitations are also used.
Note
Calculating the stresses induced by torsional vibrations is not an easy task, especially in the case of sections with irregular shapes...
