9. Quality labels and CE marking

9.1 Quality labels

A quality label (also known as a quality mark) is a symbol of quality affixed under the control of an independent third-party organization. It assures the user that the product concerned has controlled characteristics which take into account both periodic inspection visits to the manufacturing site and the results of tests carried out during production sampling.
