4. Multi-leaf spring

Equal-leaf springs made with parabolic or trapezoidal leaves provide a good material utilization coefficient; they are therefore lightweight, but require costly tooling for their manufacture, which prevents their application to small production runs. In this case, multiple or semi-elliptical leaf springs are used, with leaves of uniform thickness stacked in a bundle. In principle, all the leaves in this bundle have the same circular deformation.
