The extreme value distribution model defines the statistics of each group of extremes without taking into account their links with the rest of the signal. The aim of this paragraph is to define the probability of exceeding the extremes of any given level, taking into account their statistical distribution and their contribution to the signal's dynamics through the consideration of slopes and curves, in the same spirit as that adopted for the development of the level overshoot model 3
