Finite element method

Method for calculating numerical solutions of mechanical behavior models (volume media, beams, plates, shells), also applicable in physics to any representation by partial differential equations.

Random process

A function of a random variable indexed to time or space (in this case also called a "random field").

Stochastic model data

Model for representing data by a vector of random variables or a process indexed in time and space.

Uncertainty (uncertainty )

Characterizes data whose numerical value can only be estimated approximately.

Uncertainty propagation

Characterizes the transition from uncertain data to calculation results.
