5. Conclusion
The homogenization method presented in this article enables us to account for the "added mass" effects that characterize fluid/structure interaction in tube bundles. It thus has numerous potential applications for analyzing the dynamic behavior of fluid-coupled tubular networks, in cases where the stress applied to the system does not come from the flow itself. It can be implemented with any finite element code offering the "standard" operators for fluid/structure interaction in stagnant fluids: the example given at the end of this article, and the example in , are two examples.
