3. Sources of pump noise
3.1 Hydraulic noise
3.1.1 Noise due to the running of the blades
It is generated by the impact of the heterogeneous velocity field at the impeller outlet on the volute tip (or on the diffuser wings). It is the hydraulic signal with the greatest amplitude.
Noise, caused by the impeller blades, exists even when the rotor is perfectly designed. It's linked to the deep mechanisms that generate pressure in the pump. For this reason, it is also called "fundamental noise". Its frequency is :...

Circuit calculation codes
Pressure fluctuations emitted by a pump (or valve) must be analyzed to determine the risk they represent for the circuit (stresses, vibration levels, natural frequencies, forces exerted on the structure).
