Acyclism; instantaneous angular speed variations
Temporal variations in crankshaft displacement, speed or angular acceleration due to forces acting on piston-crank-crank systems.
Driveline; driveline
All the moving parts that transmit power from the engine to the receiver (the wheels). In the automotive industry, the powertrain includes the clutch, gearbox, differential and transmissions.
Double-mass flywheel (DMF); double-volant amortisseur (DVA)
Flywheel consisting of two masses linked together by a spring (dual-mass flywheel). One of the masses (primary mass) is integral with the crankshaft, the other (secondary mass) is integral with the transmission, the two being connected by low-stiffness springs. This device greatly attenuates acyclism at the gearbox input....
