3. Modeling

3.1 Preamble

Modeling using the envelope cycle method assigns a solution to discrete thermodynamic states. The basis of zerodimensional modeling consists in writing mass and energy conservation equations, for which inflow and outflow rates, thermodynamic properties, heat transfers, etc. must be provided. The overall resolution structure, including specific models and sub-models, is illustrated in figure 13 . The main differences encountered in the literature lie in the choice of sub-models (cf. article ).
