5. Dynamic simulation

In the case of process compressors, it is necessary to carry out dynamic simulations in order to :

  • check the size of the anti-pumping valve, the influence of pipe volume and the possible need for a hot bypass;

  • predict antipumping controller settings ;

  • verify the effectiveness of the chosen anti-pumping strategy in the various cases of disturbance applied by the process.

5.1 Means and models
