5. Conclusion

The distribution and storage of hydrogen, although already widely deployed in industry, requires progress in the field of materials to be extended to consumer applications in a "hydrogen economy", in particular to meet the constraints of cost, compactness and tank mass.

Like the entire hydrogen chain, these two stages involve materials traditionally used in industry, such as metal alloys and composites, as well as more specific ones like hydrides.
