Microalgae; Microalga

Photosynthetic single-cell organism that can belong to very different branches of biodiversity.

Biological process by which certain organisms convert light energy into chemical energy ("photo-"), and then use this to capture atmospheric CO 2 and synthesize carbonaceous organic molecules ("-synthesis").
