4. Conclusion

All in all, we are witnessing a major evolution in which French firefighters are both the main players and the beneficiaries: simulation, as practiced every day at ECASC, ENSOSP and the Marseille marine firefighters' training center, enables us to work on large-scale air-land scenarios (for forest fires in particular), to improve inter-service actions, develop scenarios for large-scale events, model past interventions, place participants at the heart of the action, debrief step-by-step with clear three-dimensional situations, and evaluate tactical reasoning, procedures and ideas for maneuvers.

Simulation of civil protection events is no longer a dream: it's a reality that meets a necessity.
