3. Commissioning new ESPs

The commissioning of new ESPs is covered by the Order of November 20, 2017 on pressure equipment in service, applicable since 1 er January 2018.

Apart from compliance with the requirements seen above for placing on the market, certain equipment (detailed in Article 7 of the Order) must be subject to declarations of commissioning (DMS) to the prefecture, and commissioning controls (CMS, new in the Order of November 20, 2017).

For LPG sites, these are the :

  • Risk category IV LPG storage tanks with a PSV greater than 10,000 ;

  • Risk category III LPG piping.

Declarations of commissioning concern equipment commissioned after July 22, 2000. They should not be issued...
