Maintenance; Maintenance

All technical, administrative and management actions during the life cycle of an asset, designed to maintain or restore it to a state in which it can perform the required function.

Maintenance préventive ; Preventive maintenance

Maintenance designed to assess and/or mitigate deterioration and reduce the probability of failure of an asset.

Maintenance corrective ; Corrective maintenance

Maintenance carried out after a breakdown has been detected and designed to restore an asset to a condition in which it can perform a required function.

Reliability

Ability of a good to perform a required function, under given conditions, during a given time interval.
