4. Means of prevention
4.1 Measurement interpretation
Before implementing preventive or protective measures at a workstation subject to electromagnetic fields, it is necessary to interpret the measured values: these are compared with those indicated in Directive 2004/40/EC (Directive presented in the ).
There are two possible solutions:
if measurements indicate fields below the values triggering action, it is important to inform those exposed;

if the Directive values are exceeded, it is recommended that the field strength be reduced, for example, by modifying the equipment.
