3.1 Regulatory aspects
There is no specific provision in the French Labor Code specifically addressing the prevention of accidents on the ground. However, the general provisions of Articles L. 4121-1 to L. 4121-3 call on employers to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and protect the health of workers, based on the general principles of prevention, and to carry out a risk assessment. As part of this process, the risk of accidents on the ground can be identified and recorded in the single document mentioned in article R. 4121-1 of the French Labour Code. In addition, certain regulatory obligations incumbent on the head of the establishment or the project owner when designing workplaces contribute directly or indirectly to the prevention of accidents on the same level....
