1. General concepts of occupational risk assessment
The notions of danger and risk are difficult to define and are often used interchangeably within the company, sometimes leading to confusion. The fact that the definition of these terms has not yet been stabilized is not really a problem, as long as everyone in the company uses them in the same way. It is essential that, prior to any risk assessment process, the company takes the trouble to clearly define what it is talking about, i.e. to develop a common language.
