5. Work equipment

5.1 Regulations for new machines and machines in service

Employers are responsible for the health and safety of their employees. He must therefore ensure the conformity of the equipment he makes available to his employees. Three situations may arise.

  • Buying a new machine

    The manufacturer, importer or person responsible for placing the machine on the market must issue a CE certificate of conformity (completed and signed), affix a CE conformity mark to the machine and supply technical documentation. The general rule is self-certification: it is the manufacturer (or importer) who assesses the conformity of the product he sells and draws up the certificate of conformity.
