3. Conclusion
The growing concern of public authorities about indoor air quality has led to a growing recognition of this issue in regulations, which has accelerated over the last ten years, and whose basis is the Grenelle Environment Forum. The current priority is to inform and raise awareness among the general public, while increasing knowledge on this subject – apart from the specific case of workplaces, particularly those in polluted atmospheres, which are already well regulated. Over and above this priority, the regulations incorporate the logic of treatment to improve air quality, i.e. firstly to reduce the sources of pollution, then to remove the pollutants present.
Workplace regulations have provided a framework for action to ensure the quality of working environments. This is now accentuated by rules to prevent worker exposure to risks, including chemical risks....
