3. Survey stages
As can be seen, the choice of survey method is not neutral, since the approach and tools used will guide the analysis process. Focusing on causes, errors, conditions, barriers or constraints is not simply a question of language, but will result in different ways of searching for, organizing and interpreting information. Using different categories of failure or different grids with "typical" factors will also impose distinct logics.
But whatever method is used to structure the investigation process and facilitate the analysis of the facts, the same steps, the same sequence and the same pitfalls can be found in the end.
