1. Definition

The first of the meanings given to the word "error" by the Larousse dictionary is: the act of being mistaken, of adopting or exposing an opinion that does not conform to the truth, of holding as true what is false. This first category of errors can be seen as epistemological obstacles .

This article will focus on the first type of error, insofar as it can cause or contribute to the occurrence of errors of the second type: the act, inconsiderate, clumsy or regrettable behavior, which is often equated with "fault". Just as a tree falling in the forest only makes a sound if there's someone there to hear it fall, an epistemological obstacle only constitutes an error...
