3. Collective protection measures

3.1 Signage

Health and safety" signage is required whenever a risk in the workplace cannot be avoided by the use of EPC (collective protective equipment) or work organization. If the risk assessment concludes that there is a danger from ROAI (incoherent artificial optical radiation), appropriate signage must be affixed to the machine or to the doors of the premises.

All safety signs (also known as pictograms) must comply with the requirements of the European Directive on Safety Signs (92/58/EEC). Depending on their nature (obligation, prohibition...), the shape and colors are defined in the decrees resulting from this directive. It is possible to create pictograms, but the colors and shape must be maintained in accordance with the mandatory regulations in force...
