TPEs have great qualities but, like all industrial products, they also have their shortcomings, mainly particular properties that confuse practitioners of vulcanizable rubbers and metals, as well as prices corresponding to materials of specific use.
In addition to the general rules of design, such as the right assessment of the requirements to be met, successful use of TPEs requires that each problem be considered in its entirety, in order to take full advantage of their qualities and obviate their drawbacks.
