6. Light-curing resin applications
Two characteristics are mainly responsible for the industrial boom in light-curing systems:
the speed of the process that transforms the molecule into a polymer material in a fraction of a second;
Spatial selectivity, which enables polymerization of only the illuminated areas.
There are currently four main areas of application for photopolymers that take advantage of these two characteristics: graphic arts, coatings, adhesives and microelectronics.
