4. Tests on flat specimens and bars

4.1 Specimen production

Specimens are either molded directly, cut from sample plates or cut from structures. For thermoset materials, cutting is carried out by milling or sawing with a diamond disk, depending on the case. Sample plates are produced in accordance with :

  • T 57-151 (unidirectional reinforcement plates for specimens with molded heels) ;

  • NF ISO 9291 (flat wound plates with unidirectional reinforcement) ;

  • NF T 57-153 (plates with fabric and/or mat reinforcements) ;

  • T 57-300 (carbon fabric-reinforced sheets and prepregs, press-molded, bag-molded or autoclaved) ;
