4. Plasterboard
Gypsum plasterboard (PYL) consists of a gypsum matrix sandwiched between two cardboard sheets to form smooth rectangular boards. Board surfaces can vary according to the application, and the core can contain additives to give it additional properties.
Some of its properties can be linked to greater lightness (such as easier handling and installation), better fire protection and improved acoustic performance.
