3. Implementation

Modified EPPs and polyarylenesulfones can be processed on all the usual thermoplastics processing machines: injection molding machines, extruders, blow molding machines and thermoforming machines.

3.1 Injection

This is the most widely used method for manufacturing objects from modified PPE and polyarylene sulfones. These materials can be injected on standard injection molding machines.

  • Modified PPE

    Conventional screws, with the exception of those used for PVC, with three zones and a compression ratio of between 1.5 and 2.5 are recommended. The injection nozzle should have a minimum diameter of 4 mm.
