2. A textbook case: the centrally injected disc

This flow situation is encountered at the beginning of the filling process for certain types of parts, but usually with a small threshold to facilitate separation between channel and part. The geometry is shown in figure 1 . The approaches we will develop below can be transposed to the case of a rectangular plate and channels with a circular cross-section.
