3. How corotative extruders work

To be able to make the best use of the various functions of a corotating extruder, it is essential to have a good understanding of the material flow mechanisms within this system. This understanding naturally leads to the notion of theoretical models, which, as we shall see in this paragraph, will enable us to better interpret the transformation conditions within the machine and to predict operating conditions, i.e., ultimately, to move towards optimization and the solution of extrapolation problems.
